Anything that you, we or your GP are concerned about can be removed leaving a small scar. All lesions are sent for histological examination so that we can be sure of their diagnosis. Other lesions caused by sun damage, such as seborrheic keratoses, can be removed using liquid nitrogen. Moles and lesions are always sent for analysis by a Consultant Pathologist so that we can be clear about the histology and cause of the mole or lesion. |

Frequent: |
Bruising, swelling, temporary numbness. |
Infrequent: |
Infection, unsightly scarring, bleeding (haematoma), permanent numbness. |
Recovery: |
5 days facial sutures removed
2 weeks body sutures removed
3-4 weeks until swelling disappears
4 weeks until return to gym and other strenuous activities
12 weeks until final result – scars continue to improve over the next 12 months. |
