The nose occupies a central and highly visible position on the face and patients are often troubled by the size, shape or length of their nose. Rhinoplasty is performed to change the appearance of the nose to be more aesthetic and pleasing. The surgery changes the shape by removing, altering or adding to the underlying bone and cartilage structures, and the skin is then re-draped over the new structure. |
